Lest you think that maternity intimate apparel means granny panties and bulky bras, think again. Nowadays, intimate apparel for expectant mothers is as sexy and as supportive as the non-maternity counterparts with just a little tweak – comfort is the most important consideration. After all, you cannot be bothered with constant adjustments of your intimate wear when you have other matters to attend to.
You will find maternity underwear, maternity bras, maternity pantyhose and maternity sleepwear in many stores and sites. Gone are the days when you have to settle for intimate wear that does nothing to provide comfort and support for your changing body while still making you feel sexy despite the beach ball-sized tummy you now carry around.
First, you have maternity underwear. You can still wear thongs that are designed to provide a sexy look while hugging your growing belly although panties with greater coverage are also available and, in many cases, preferable. Yes, even in maternity intimate apparel, you have a choice.
Second, you can choose from many styles and sizes of maternity bras, which may even have nursing pads so that you can still wear them after your baby is born. Although you may want to wear all-lace or all-nylon bras, this may not be feasible because of the heavier weight of your breasts. Thus, it is often best to opt for maternity bras with good support while still offering feminine details like lace, satin and silk in ribbons and bows.
Third, you may purchase maternity pantyhose, which is designed to accommodate your growing belly and stay put instead of rolling into an uncomfortable wad of nylon below your stomach. An advantage of maternity pantyhose is that it offers good support.
Fourth, who says you have to wear big T-shirts to sleep in when you have plenty of choices in maternity intimate apparel especially sleepwear? Choose the one that suits your sleeping style best and be as daring as you can be.
With these four choices in maternity intimate apparel, you definitely will not be at a loss for still looking and feeling like a desirable woman to your man.
